Terms of Service

1. Agreement and Entity Status

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the educational services provided by Morphy Chess Academy ("Academy", "we", "us"). Morphy Chess Academy is an unregistered trade name operating in India. By registering a student, paying an invoice, or accessing our live classes, you (the parent or legal guardian) agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Payments and Refunds

All fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the monthly billing cycle.

Zero Refund Policy: All payments are strictly non-refundable. We do not offer partial or prorated refunds for early cancellations, unused classes, or mid-month withdrawals.

3. Attendance and Scheduling

Our curriculum operates on a strict schedule with fixed class ratios.

No Makeup Classes: If a student misses a scheduled session for any reason (including illness, technical issues on your end, or scheduling conflicts), that session is permanently forfeited. We do not provide makeup classes, credits, or alternative scheduling for missed sessions.

4. Code of Conduct and Right of Termination

We maintain a strict standard of respect to ensure a productive learning environment.

We reserve the right to instantly terminate a student’s enrollment without warning and without a refund if:

  • The student is highly disruptive, disrespectful, or severely impedes the learning of others during a live class.
  • The parent or guardian exhibits abusive, hostile, or harassing behavior toward our coaching staff or administration team.

5. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

All teaching materials, curriculum structures, and class links are the exclusive property of Morphy Chess Academy.

No Recording: Parents and students are strictly prohibited from recording, screen-capturing, or broadcasting any portion of the live Zoom classes.

No Distribution: You may not distribute, upload, or share our proprietary study guides, puzzles, or internal academy documents with any third party.

Link Sharing: Zoom links are unique to the registered student. Sharing class access links with unregistered users will result in immediate termination of your enrollment without a refund.

6. Limitation of Liability

Our chess coaching is provided "as is" for educational purposes. We do not guarantee specific tournament outcomes, FIDE rating increases, or competitive results. Morphy Chess Academy shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes or legal proceedings arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
